Privacy Policy

ViewHelper ("we", "us", or "our") operates the View My Screen and Remote Screen Viewer iOS applications (the "Apps"). This page explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

What We Collect

Device Identifier
We generate an anonymous device token to identify your device. This is not linked to your name, email, Apple ID, or any personal information.

Session Data
When a screen sharing session is active, we temporarily store the session ID and connection information on our server. Session records are retained for up to 30 days after a session ends, then deleted. No screen content is ever stored on our servers.

Purchase Records
In-app purchases are processed entirely by Apple. We receive only the amount of relay time purchased — we never see your payment information.

What We Do NOT Collect

• Your name, email address, or phone number
• Your Apple ID or iCloud information
• Your location
• Your contacts or photos
• Any recording of your screen
• Any audio

How We Use Your Information

• Device token — used only to authenticate your device and track your relay time balance
• Session data — used only to establish the screen sharing connection between two devices
• We do not sell, share, or rent your information to any third party

Screen Sharing

• The person sharing their screen must initiate the session themselves
• The helper can only view the screen — they cannot control the device
• The person sharing can end the session at any time with one tap
• No screen content is recorded or stored on our servers

Third-Party Services

When a direct device-to-device connection is not possible, we route video through our own self-hosted relay server. This server is operated exclusively by ViewHelper on infrastructure we control (Hetzner, Ashburn VA). No third-party relay service receives your screen data.

Approximately 70–85% of sessions connect directly between devices (peer-to-peer) without using any relay server.

Data Retention

• Session records are retained for up to 30 days after a session ends, then deleted
• Device tokens and relay credit balances are stored on our server for as long as you use the app
• You can request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us

Children's Privacy

Our Apps are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
